Sun image made on 15 september 2007. I used another setup for this image; when I tried to image the sun from within my observatory, this gave some problems such as too much heat, having to use cardboard and cloth screens to block direct sunlite to the computer, etcetera. So I made another setup using a Vixen GP mount that I can put just outside the door of the observatory and where the motor drives and focus of the 80/600 refractor can be controlled from inside. The observatory and the observer stay cool that way and I can see the computer screen a lot better. This image was a test using this set-up, I had to image between clouds but the concept is proven OK.
