Discovery:  [ CBET 5323:  COMET C/2023 X2 ]

     R. Weryk reports the cometary activity of NEOCP candidate (first reported by Mt. Lemmon Survey - G96 on Dec. 4 UT) in independent survey images taken on Dec. 4 by Pan-STARRS 1 (F51), noting a condensed 0".7 coma and a straight 6"

tail at position angle 210 deg. Prediscovery positions were reported back to Aug. 2023 UT. Additional reports of cometary features are as follows:
