Astrophotography from Cruis, France.
The following colour photographs have been made during the week of 4 - 8 october 1999 at Grand Champ, a B&B near Cruis, South-France on the southern slope of the Montagne de Lure.
I used a Takahashi E-160 Hyperbolic Astrograph (first outing) on a CG-11 mounting. A 60 mm refractor and SBIG-ST4 were used for guiding. These pictures are scans made from Fuji Superia 800 colour negatives using a HP Photosmart scanner.
5-6/10/1999, NGC7293 Helix nebula, 20 m exposure (cropped section of the negative).
5-6/10/1999 California nebula, 20 m exposure, some trailing is noticeable due to an unidentified guiding problem, probably differential flexure between main and guide telescope.
7-8/10/1999 : NGC 7000, 60 m exposure.
7-8/10/1999 : Horse Head region, 60 m exposure.
